Job Description

Due to further expansion within the business, NOONAN has an opportunity for a Junior Bid Writer to join their team. The ideal candidate will thrive on working in an orderly, well organised and structured environment within a friendly and supportive team of Bidding professionals.  They will enjoy and gain satisfaction from writing in a clear and articulate manner and will actively share and promote co-operation within the team. The successful candidate will have a thirst for learning, be self-motivated, hardworking and accurate in their approach to work, paying great attention to detail and continuously striving for improvement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working on their own or with other team members to scope, co-ordinate, plan/prepare, write and submit tenders and Pre-qualification submissions
  • Provide technical and commercial writing skills, an example of which will include articulating ideas and technical solutions developed by others
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of responses of other team members as may be required to complete a tender submission
  • Ensure tenders and business proposals meet all relevant specifications and are in line with the most recent research available and best practice
  • Actively network and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Follow formal systems and governance processes and ensure timely delivery of tasks within strict timescales

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Educated to degree level (or have equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrable capability of writing and preparing professional documentation or communications
  • A clear and thorough communication style and flair both verbally and in written form
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to handle challenge and work effectively under pressure
  • Advanced MS Office skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to show initiative and examples of creativity
  • Ability to work collaboratively
